Thanks If I decrypt and reencrypt, I do not need to do anything with TPM I am also using it as an external drive , not a system drive on the other pc It is an SSD and I also feel like the decrypt encrypt process affects the life of the drive But in the long run, unless someone responds with a good method, I will likely do that Also any advice to the 2nd part of my original question about

If the rescue media can see and decrypt the files (you could do the above "TYPE" proof in it to be sure if it lets you use a cmd window) I'd be inclined to think that a forensic image isn't even necessary, but you could always do it anyway, or both types (forensic and normal; the problem of a forensic image is that restoring it needs an equal

I used the cert manager to export my cert and keys, but the file still have the lock I did a clean install of Windows 11 Awful I will never use windows encryption again - - - Updated - - - I found the solution I have checked my EFS used certificate and it was using a different one, I just rekeyed it using my backup cert and I was able to access my files Import the cert only, does not work
